DIY fashion: how to style a v neck?

Sooo I'm a huge fan of DIY fashion because it makes your clothes really unique, I know how to cut my tees into open shoulder and stuff but I have a v neck shirt that I made for camp and I would really like to find a nice way to style it, not make it look so simple? it's a v-neck and oversized and i sewed some letters at the top front so i can't just cut it all off. do you have ideas? tutorials? etc.
